Sugar  n' Spice and Everything Naughty Nice
Mommy's packing my luggage and shipping me off to boarding school. :)

Don't let that little angel face fool ya!

I love you, BIG little girl!

What Was I Thinking?!?

The carts at Sam's club are JUMBO.  But apparently they aren't big enough for a wily witto toddler, infant in carseat, two enormous boxes of diapers (stowed precariously underneath), mondo pack of paper towels, gigantic pack of toilet paper, two loaves of bread and the oversized monster bag of tortilla chips.  We purchased our loot, I made a perilous pyramid on top of sweet Hannah, and we trudged out into the snow and sludge of the parking lot.  What wasn't dislodged into the muddy puddles on its own was chucked in by Madderdoon.  Madi was at her wits' end after missing her nap to go shopping with Ma and began nudging the delicate pyramid into the slimy sludge as we plowed to the van.  UGH!  Not my finest moment.  I strapped my mini miss Hulk into her carseat and let her think we were driving off without her paci which she had also taken out and chucked into the muck. "Bye, paci!  So sorry Madi threw you in the snow.  So sad.  Bye!"  Tears and screaming the entire drive home.  But no worries!  We had PLENTY of tissue to wipe up her boogers and dry her sad eyes when we got home.  Why did I try to leave the house today?  "WHAT WAS I THINKING?"  (A question I ask myself often lately)  :)  :)   :)

Storytime with Daddy

Miss Madi hands us book after book to read with her all day long.  We have so much fun watching her grow and learn.  Many of our favorite moments are spent reading together.  Please keep that love of learning alive always, babygirl.  It is so fun to watch you light up as you learn something new and we hope you will always have a passion for reading and books.

Gettin it

BIG GIRL
When I saw how captivated Madi was with the puzzles in nursery, we just had to get her one for Christmas. Who makes children's toys?  Definitely NOT Mamas!  These shapes are so darn tricky...they have to be placed perfectly in their one exact, snug position (the hexagon, star, diamond, and triangle squeeze in only ONE way...oh, brother...just make an equilateral triangle, people!)  Madi would get soooooo frustrated with those darn shapes, hulking out, throwing them, smashing them on the wood surface to make loud clanks when they didn't fit where she knew they should, "WHACK, WHACK, WHACK!"  But her stubborn persistance and smart witto brain have figured out how to slide them into position perfectly with no assistance.  She beams proudly when she bests that dastardly puzzle all by herself!  Love this big, crazy girl!!!

Fast Learner--Pleased as Punch-..."Ya, I'm cool like that!"-YUM!

Hannah started off pretty skeptical about her Oatmeal Goulash.  But she quickly got the hang of the new tastes and textures  and has become an expert solids eater.  She's loved everything she's tried so far--peaches, pears, prunes and green beans mixed in with her oatmeal cereal.  We love the way she flings out her big tongue like a lizard snatching a fly--an explosive propulsion.  She greets the yummy spoonful with a fast flick and guides it expertly to her eager mouth.  She gulps down her goo at lightening speed with happy moans of delight all the while.  Her little bowels are still trying to figure out this trickier digestive process but we're sure she'll adjust soon.  Bon appetit, little cutie!

Hannah Kaye--6 Months

We are going to be without internet for a few days (sigh) and I was making a desperate attempt to catch up the ole blog, but alas, it will be awhile yet.  I am a little obsessive compulsive about journaling chronologically, but due to my extreme love and excitement for these pics, I am jumping ahead to share a sneak peak of Hannah's six month photoshoot with Grandma Black.  Words can't express how much I love these pictures.  PURE JOY!  So as I sign off for awhile, I'll leave you with a little taste of something DELICIOUS...creamy, sugar-sweet, heavenly Hannah Kaye.  MMMmmmmmm!
