Who's Naughty?

Thank you, Grandma Black, for the photography & editing skills.  It was so much fun revisiting these gorgeous pics (most of which never got posted...really slacked on the blog there for awhile).  This beautiful summer day seems like a lifetime ago.  My memory of the trauma getting Madi to behave has almost dimmed and these gorgeous, elegant, magical and enchanting pictures remain.  That's the true beauty of a picture.  Photo-shoots with my tenacious tiger tots are always a bit...let's be honest...mega challenging, but always worth it!

My Tiger Tots

Got so very much to do.  Pretty rough when Mama is the only healthy one in the household.  But rather than be productive, I shall now go to my "happy place" and post these adorable pictures (thank you, Grandma Black, for the photography and editing skills).  These are so very precious to me.  And they might just help me preserve my sanity for a minute more...so pretty important treasures.

ROOOOAR!  Finally a photoshoot Madi can sink her teeth into!  She loved dressing up, crouching, climbing, crawling, pouncing and growling like the fabulous feline she is!  I especially love these cozy, cute costumes because since Madi's been born, I've called her my little tiger cub!  My lovely little ladies might not be of the sweet, mild, calm and gentle variety but they remind me everyday that
LIFE IS G-R-R-R-R-EAT!!!

My gorgeous girlies might be a tad (or more) crazy, but to me, they're simply PURRRRFECT!

Madi performed like a little superstar during this photoshoot while my usually smiley and cheerful Hannah suffered melt-down after melt-down.  She was cutting teeth and getting super sick (didn't know til that sleepless night that she was coming down with something) which threw her balance WAAAY off.  She didn't want to walk or sit on high perches because of her whirling, woozy unstable coordination.  But, as always, so glad we perserved and captured such priceless pics.  That Marvelous Ma of mine just can't be thwarted...unflappable and so darn talented.  Add that to my stubborn nature and we came out victorious, tackling those tag team tiger tots!

Love how it looks like they are actually tigers in the ZOO!  Wild, big cat enclosure with rocks to climb, fenced in all around for the safety of the spectators.  This cool location was only a couple of houses down from us in the neighbor's yard!

Madi's Lullaby

Boring Version:
Rock-a-bye baby, in the treetop
When the wind blows, the cradle will rock
When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall
And down will come baby, cradle and all

Madi's Version:
PLEASE be sure to notice Madi's vibrato humming at the beginnning of this clip...my favorite part of her lullaby for sure...then she begins singing her version of Rock-a-Bye Baby
Cradle...when you go to bed...to sleep
In the cradle, when you smile, smile
In the cradle
When you rock
Bye-bye
Go to bed

Dangerously funny after a hernia surgery...Matt laughed so hard it HURT...literally!  We are so lucky to have Doc McMuffin around to nurse Daddy back to health with her healing lullabies.

Tastes Like Chocolate

Madderdoon is ALWAYS right in the thick of it...my messy, marvelous, wacky, wonderful witto helper!  She is always RIGHT by my side...making cookies, doing dishes, putting on "makes" (make-up)...she is my little tumor that I just can't seem to shake.  She makes it immensely more difficult to get a simple task done but makes it all the more exciting and meaningful when I actually do accomplish something.  Plus she's just so darn entertaining.

Cleam Up, Cleam Up!

Love every little thing (well most things...a LOT of things, anyway) that come out of this little mouth.  Love her cute little voice--gabbing, babbling, talking and singing all the livelong day.  Wish I could record every little thing (well most things...a LOT of things, anyway) that comes out of her precocious little piehole.  Love how in this video she demonstrates how she sings "Cleam Up" instead of clean up as she busily gathers her build-it-sticks and unifix cubes.

Funny story I want to remember:  Madi is REALLY in to Strawberry Shortcake lately.  Grandpa bought her a Happy Meal with a Strawberry Shortcake toy inside when she was tiny and Madi called her "Strawpizza"...adorable.  Then recently I popped on an episode from the Comcast On-Demand Menu under the Kids/Halloween/Special Episodes selection.  She was completely sucked in by the slightly spooky Camp-Out Episode and empathized with Ginger Snap's fear of the dark.  Then we found MORE Strawberry Shortcake on Netflix..JACK POT! Cute characters, adorable songs and talk about a CATCHY JINGLE...(you'll have to look it up if you haven't heard the opening song) "STRAW-BA-BA-BA-BA-BERRY!"  Matt came to me a few nights ago worried sick! "Oh, no!  Madi is developing a stutter!"  I asked her what she had said.  He told me she was demanding to watch a show on T.V. and was asking for "Straw-ba-ba-ba-ba-berry!"  I had to show him the opening song of Madi's beloved new Strawberry Shortcake shows and we both had a good laugh!

The (Un) "Sink"able Madi Mae

What a goof!  Little Miss Madi has a high code of personal hygiene and LOVES her some showers and "tubbies" (baths).  She takes at least three a day!  I was super busy one morning as she was begging me for yet another bath.  I kept putting her off and told her, "LATER...after the sandbox at the park...when you are actually dirty!"  She couldn't wait so while I was in the other room, she slid the chair from the kitchen table over to the sink and climbed on in fully dressed...shoes and all.  When I discovered her, soaking wet, she began to apologize profusely but was more than happy to have gotten her way.  Willful, wicked and wet..and yet so very adorable and thoroughly lovable all at the same time!  How do you do it, Madi Mae?!?

Hanny's 1st Pony

It took a super, dooper long time for our dearly beloved bald Hanny to successfully grow and sport her first pony, but all that work was worth it, girlfriend!  Love this pic...she looks positively ecstatic to finally be able to have enough sprigs on her noggin to collect in a ponytail holder and garnish with a pink bow.  Love this little monkey!

Tickle Time With Hanny

When big sis is AWAY (napping)...Mama & Hanny will PLAY!  Hannah absolutely THRIVES when sprinkled with little doses of individual, one-on-one time.  She doesn't get it much, but when she does . . . she is positively THRILLED!
